Import business costs from your bookkeeping

Connect your accounting package and import business expenses from the expenses page in NettoWise.

You can import business expenses in NettoWise from a connected accounting package. You do this on the Expenses page, where you first fetch new lines and then choose which lines you want to import.

How to import business expenses

  1. Open the Expenses page.
  2. Check whether your accounting package is connected.
  3. If there is no connection yet, click Open connections and connect your accounting package first.
  4. Click Import to fetch new expense lines from your accounting package.
  5. In the sync screen, review the lines that were found.
  6. Keep the lines checked that you want to import and uncheck the lines you do not want to include.
  7. Use Edit if you want to adjust a line before importing it.
  8. Click Import to add the selected lines to your business expenses.

What you can do in the sync screen

  • Search through the fetched lines.
  • Show previously rejected lines.
  • Decide per line whether it should be included.
  • Edit lines before importing them.

Good to know

  • You cannot sync expenses without a connected accounting package.
  • NettoWise shows how many lines are still waiting to be processed.
  • If all available lines have already been processed, the import status will show that everything is up to date.
You stay in control during the import process: lines are only added as business expenses after your selection and confirmation.
